About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Cincinnati Downtown is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. Respiratory Therapists play a central role in providing compassionate treatment to patients during vulnerable periods of their lives. The role includes evaluating patients, recommending treatment plans, and providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.

This is a full-time position in Cincinnati, Ohio, with 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Compensation ranges from $36.41 to $49.00 per hour, based on experience, and the role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

• Must possess an active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation is required: college transcript or diploma (preferred), or high school transcript or diploma, or GED.
• Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required within six months of hire. Agency respiratory therapists must have ACLS upon their first shift, and PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• One year of related experience is preferred.
• College transcript or diploma is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
