Respiratory Therapist - Per Diem
About The Position
Trustpoint Rehabilitation Hospital of Lubbock is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join its patient-care team. The hospital is a 93-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility providing adult and pediatric care for people with stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, orthopedic trauma, and other complex medical conditions. The Respiratory Therapist evaluates and treats patients with breathing disorders, performs laboratory functions, and takes primary responsibility for respiratory care treatments. The role incorporates the hospital’s mission and Guiding Principles into daily practice. This position is per diem in Lubbock, Texas.
Requirements
- Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Current CPR certification.
- Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
- General computer skills, including data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
- Good judgment, initiative, problem-solving, decision-making, prioritizing, and organizational skills.
- Effective organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work closely and professionally with others.
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection-control standards.
Nice To Haves
- One year of recent experience in an acute care setting.
