About The Position

We are looking for a skilled Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team in a Pediatric Respiratory Care role. This position requires working in various pediatric and adult care settings, including the NICU, Pediatric Acute Care, and Adult Intensive Care Units. The successful candidate will have strong clinical knowledge, including airway management, ventilator management, and pediatric care expertise. First-time travelers are accepted for this position.

Requirements

• NBRC RRT Certification (must have valid certification)
• Indiana State Respiratory Therapy License (must have license in hand)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certifications
• Pediatric Experience: Respiratory care in NICU and Pediatrics Acute Care
• Critical Care Experience: Must be able to provide care in Adult ICU and general care settings
• Advanced Respiratory Care Skills: Ventilator management, ABG analysis, pulmonary toileting, BiPAP/CPAP management
• Float Requirement: Ability to float between different care areas (NICU, Peds Acute Care, Adult ICU)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an RRT

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Trauma & Teaching Hospital Settings
• Bronchoscope experience
• Experience with Hamilton G5 and Philips V60 ventilators
• Familiarity with Cerner documentation system

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care in multiple settings: NICU, Pediatrics Acute Care, and Adult ICU
• Administer oxygen therapy, ventilator management, and nebulizer treatments
• Perform ABG analysis, airway management, and pulmonary toileting
• Administer medications as prescribed and manage BiPAP and CPAP therapy
• Float between units, including general care and intensive care (ICU) settings
• Monitor patients and ensure their respiratory needs are met in a critical care environment
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care
• Document patient care and treatment in Cerner or other hospital systems
