About The Position

The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions at a critical illness recovery hospital. The hospital provides inpatient post-ICU care for chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The role includes evaluating patients, recommending treatment plans, performing endotracheal tube insertion and removal, supporting continuous quality improvement, and teaching and counseling patients and families. The position is full-time in Evansville, Indiana, with 12-hour shifts; day and night shifts are available. Compensation is $29.73–$40 per hour based on experience, with shift differentials for night and weekend shifts, and a $15,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

Hold an active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
Provide proof of graduation: college transcript or diploma preferred, or high school transcript or diploma, or GED.
Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the start date.
Hold current state licensure.
Obtain ACLS within six months of hire; agency respiratory therapists must have ACLS before their first shift, and PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire.
