About The Position

The Respiratory Therapist performs pulmonary function and cardiopulmonary exercise testing for inpatients and outpatients. The role includes calibrating and performing preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment, administering pulmonary function tests, managing data, and generating reports. The therapist is also responsible for charge entry and supply management, along with other duties as assigned. The schedule is days, with no holidays or weekends, at 0.6 FTE.

Requirements

Associate degree from a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care program.
Current Wisconsin license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC; new graduates must obtain the credential within six months of hire.
Obtain a Certified Pulmonary Function Technician (CPFT) or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) credential from the NBRC within one year of hire or transfer into the position.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS), or an AHA-approved equivalent, within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

One year of previous experience in a pulmonary function laboratory is preferred.
