About The Position
VitalHire is hiring a travel Respiratory Therapist for acute care at a hospital in Mason City, Iowa. This is a 13-week contract with two openings and a weekly pay rate of $2,259 ($62.75 per hour for 36 hours per week). Eligible travelers may receive a housing and meals stipend of up to $1,267 per week, based on the GSA FY2027 maximum for the location. Available schedules are day shifts from 06:30–19:00 or 07:00–19:30, and night shifts from 18:30–07:00, each at 36 hours per week. Available start dates are October 26, November 2, and November 16, 2026. VitalHire offers weekly direct deposit, recruiter support throughout the assignment, help with licensing, credentialing, and onboarding, and the possibility of contract extensions or new assignments.
Requirements
- Active Iowa respiratory care license.
- NBRC credential; RRT preferred, CRT accepted.
- At least 2 years of recent acute care experience.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
