About The Position

This position represents patient care directed toward critical care areas, step down areas and general care areas.

Requirements

• HS/GED Required.
• Must be licensed by the ASBRT and credentialed by the NBRC.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist minimum.
• Clinical experience obtained while attending Respiratory program and will be able to function in critical settings.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
• Certification of BLS is mandatory upon completion of orientation period.

Nice To Haves

• Registered Respiratory Therapist is preferred.
• Certification of PALS and ACLS is preferred for all applicants.
• Certification of BLS is preferred for hiral processes.
• Additional experience relating to intubation and transport are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and recommend procedures in all areas of EKG, Bronchial Hygiene, Oxygen Therapy, Respiratory Diagnostic Procedures, and all levels of Mechanical Ventilation.
• Initiation and support of mechanical ventilation.
• Intubation and transport.
