The Respiratory Therapist (RT) will be responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory care to patients across various settings, including emergency, critical care, general inpatient, and outpatient services. This role involves stabilizing acute patients, managing mechanical ventilation, administering respiratory treatments, performing diagnostic tests, and collaborating with physicians and nursing staff. The RT will also play a key role in patient and family education and maintaining respiratory equipment. The position requires a high degree of autonomy, adaptability, and stress tolerance, with the ability to work rotating shifts and shared on-call responsibilities. Some travel and telecommuting may be permitted.
