About The Position

The Respiratory Intern gains additional knowledge and clinical experience before completing their education in a CoARC-approved respiratory care program. Under the direct supervision of a Florida-licensed staff respiratory therapist, the intern performs basic respiratory procedures appropriate to the skills required at their current clinical rotation level. The intern adheres to required respiratory care standards and promotes teamwork among coworkers.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited respiratory therapy program and in good standing.
• Completed at least one clinical rotation.
• Within 15 months of completing a certified and/or registered respiratory therapy program.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic respiratory procedures under the direct supervision of a Florida-licensed staff respiratory therapist, consistent with the skills required at the current clinical rotation level.
• Adhere to required standards of respiratory care.
• Promote teamwork among coworkers.
