About The Position

Requirements

  • Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Therapist program.
  • One (1) year in acute/critical care respiratory therapy.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care.
  • Current Nevada Practitioner of Respiratory Care License, Nevada Blood Gas Technologist (minimum).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by the American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified by the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric Advanced life Support (PALS) certified by the American Heart Association and/or Neonatal Resuscitative Provider (NRP) certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics (to be obtained within the first 90 days of hire date if applicable to specific facility).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the delivery of respiratory therapy modalities and respiratory assessments to patients of all ages in all patient care areas, including critical care.
  • Performs responsibilities independently and without supervision except as necessary during orientation or training.
