About The Position

Under general supervision, administers respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities. The Respiratory Therapist II acts as lead therapist when assigned and performs all other duties as requested by management in accordance with established Policies and Procedures within the job specification.

Requirements

  • Completion of an AMA approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
  • Ability to administer respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities.
  • Ability to act as lead therapist when assigned for all areas.
  • Current State licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist form the Department of Health and State of Florida
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Less than one (1) year of Critical care for ventilator management experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Three (3) or more years previous Respiratory Therapist experience in a major health care facility.

Responsibilities

  • Administers respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities.
  • Acts as lead therapist when assigned for all areas.
  • Provides NICU patient care (i.e., ventilator and Oxygen assessment) when acting as a lead therapist.
