About The Position

Regions Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist and Cardiopulmonary Specialist to join their collaborative team of professionals. In this role, the individual will partner with the patient care team to develop, modify, and implement respiratory care plans. Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy OR Graduation from a two‑year AMA‑approved Respiratory Care program OR Coursework and credentials (e.g., two‑year respiratory therapist program + CRT credential) qualifying the candidate for the NBRC registry exam.
  • Minimum of four years of experience, including at least two years at Regions Hospital with documented competency in respiratory critical care.
  • At least two years performing respiratory critical care duties in an acute care setting providing Hemodynamic services.
  • Must work a minimum of 48 hours per pay period.
  • Other experience as approved by Manager.
  • Licensed Respiratory Therapist (LRT) – Minnesota Board of Medical Practice
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS within one year of hire

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) within one year of hire
  • NRP Certification
  • Adult Critical Care Specialty (ACCS)
  • Fundamentals of Critical Care Support (FCCS)
  • Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT)

Responsibilities

  • Administer routine and specialized respiratory and critical care interventions for inpatient and outpatient populations.
  • Collaborate with the patient care team to develop and adapt respiratory care plans for patients across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures as requested.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory and critical care equipment.
