About The Position

This position is for a Respiratory Therapist specializing in Neuro Diagnostics. The role requires proficiency in Adult Critical Care settings and a range of respiratory procedures and medication administration. The therapist will work with adult and geriatric patients and must be experienced with various respiratory equipment and therapies, including mechanical ventilation. The position involves floating to other units or campuses as needed and requires 1 year of EPIC charting experience.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience
  • Active RRT SC in hand
  • ACLS certification
  • BLS certification
  • Proficient in Adult Critical Care Work settings
  • Experienced with Extubation, Nasal airway placements, suctioning, oral airway placement, oral suctioning, pulmonary hygiene, sputum specimen collection, tracheostomy care
  • Experienced with administering albuterol, Atrovent, combivent, flovent, inhaled steroids, ispurel, lidocaine, perforomist, pulmicort, racemic epinephrine, spiriva, terbutaline sulfate, tobramycin, xopenex
  • Experienced in delivering medication through aerosol set up mask, aerosol set up trach, Medihaler, Metered Dos inhaler
  • Experience with Hand held, T-piece and Trach collar nebulizers
  • Experience with high flow nasal cannula and trach collar oxygen therapy
  • Experience with BiPaP, CPAP, Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
  • Trauma Level 1 experience
  • 1 year of EPIC experience
