About The Position

This role is for a Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics professional with a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification. The position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience, and first-time candidates are not accepted. The patient population ranges from neonates to geriatrics. Key responsibilities include ventilator management, medicated aerosol treatments, BiPAP management, assisting with open heart procedures, intubation, ABG draws and analysis, CPT, Nitric administration, and Covid management. The department operates 24/7, with 12-16 therapists on day shift and 10-13 on nights. The team covers all hospital floors, including a 30-bed ICU, a 25-bed Open Heart unit, a 25-bed NICU unit, and a 47-bed/5-trauma ED. Required experience includes using Epic, Servo I, GE, Hamilton, and PB840 systems. The work schedule involves every other weekend unless specified otherwise, and floating within the facility and scope of practice is required as needed. There are no call requirements. Travelers are expected to work holidays that fall within their assignment period, with specific expectations for one, two, or three major holidays. Full compliance is required to start on time, with a potential two-week delay if not compliant due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. Aya Offers are available if the candidate passes clinicals within RTO guidelines and meets facility requirements. Locals are accepted at the same rate. The number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) hours is determined by the contract length.
