About The Position
The Respiratory Equipment Technician provides in an expedient manner, properly functioning respiratory care equipment by disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, performing preventive maintenance on select equipment and verifying operational readiness. The Respiratory Equipment Technician organizes, monitors and maintains appropriate consumable and capital inventory levels. This position documents charges in the computer for respiratory care modalities rendered on the previous day.
Requirements
- High school graduate (or GED).

- Previous work experience with respiratory care equipment.
Responsibilities
- Disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling respiratory care equipment.
- Performing preventive maintenance on select equipment.
- Verifying operational readiness of respiratory care equipment.
- Organizing, monitoring, and maintaining appropriate consumable and capital inventory levels.
- Documenting charges in the computer for respiratory care modalities rendered.
- Identifying equipment repairs which can be done internally.
- Shipping warranty items for repair.
- Determining the need to clean the laboratory and equipment areas.
- Ordering items available through Central Supply.
