About The Position

The Respiratory/EEG Therapist III works in the Resource Pool, with shifts varying 1–2 days a week. The role requires the ability to function in two or more areas of specialized respiratory therapy care, or to hold a nationally recognized certification in critical care, neonatal/pediatric specialty, pulmonary functions, or asthma education. The therapist uses routine supplies, equipment, medications, computers, printers, reports, and printouts specific to respiratory therapy practice.

Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Care Program.
• Licensed by the State of South Carolina as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Registered by the NBRC.
• Ability to function in two or more areas of specialized respiratory therapy care, or hold a nationally recognized certification in critical care, neonatal/pediatric specialty, pulmonary functions, or asthma education.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS and PALS certification within one year of hire.
• NRP required for therapists cross-trained in the NICU.
