About The Position

The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) provides care to patients in PAM Health hospitals, including chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. The role performs routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures; maintains equipment in working order; and provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested. The ideal candidate has prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.

Requirements

• Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care.
• Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Blood gas licensure is required if employed in the state of Nevada.
• For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required.

Nice To Haves

• Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
• A minimum of one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
• An associate degree is preferred for hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases.

Responsibilities
