About The Position
PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to care for its diverse patient population. The role involves caring for chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. The ideal candidate has prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn. Shifts are from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Requirements
- Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
- Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Blood gas licensure is required if employed in the state of Nevada.
- For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required.
Nice To Haves
- Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
- At least one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
- An associate degree is preferred for hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals.
- Maintain all equipment in working order.
- Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for patients as required or requested.
