About The Position

The Resource Specialist - HR Ancillary & Volunteer Programs supports the overall functions of CHOC’s volunteer program; recruits, interviews, places, trains, coaches and counsels, and terminates volunteers for cause when necessary. Supports ancillary and recognition programs. Supports organizational crisis management that is provided by Resource Specialists.

Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years of volunteer management experience
  • Extensive knowledge of MS office and various software applications
  • Ability to think and work independently, strategically, and analytically with the ability to work in complex environment
  • Ability to work with all levels of staff up to leaders and executive management
  • Bachelor’s degree. Additional years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of education.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) or more years of hospital volunteer experience
  • Volunteer Management Certification
