This position is for a two (2) year period. Continuation of this position is contingent on the availability of funding. The Resource Specialist will support the Mitigation & Prevention Department programs including Wildlife Risk Reduction and Community Resiliency. This employee will primarily support the Wildfire Risk Reduction program with equipment maintenance, mechanical fuels reduction, equipment transfers, project site inspections and data collection. This employee will also maintain all assigned equipment and keep in service. This includes vehicle, trailers, ATV/UTV, mulchers, chippers and chainsaws. Occasionally, project work will require overnight travel away from home unit. This role is a key part of our efforts to reorganize and improve operational deficiency. This position will also provide support for other program needs as they arise, ensuring the department remains responsive and well-equipped to carry out its mission of wildfire mitigation.
