About The Position

The Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MIPS) is seeking a highly capable Resource Manager to play a pivotal role in the establishment and ongoing operation of a new state-of-the-art Translational Research Facility. This role involves leading the commissioning and operational readiness of a major research facility supporting approximately 100 research staff and students. The position reports to the Chief Operating Officer, MIPS, and will provide strategic and operational leadership for research infrastructure, laboratory resources, equipment management, and scientific operations. The successful candidate will work with a high degree of autonomy, collaborating with researchers, professional staff, contractors, and external service providers to ensure the facility operates safely, efficiently, and in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Leading the commissioning, and ongoing operation of research laboratories, infrastructure, and specialised equipment within the new Translational Research Facility.
Providing expert advice and oversight on laboratory operations, chemical safety, compliance, risk management, and operational procedures.
Managing research resources and stakeholder relationships to ensure a safe, efficient, and high-performing research environment that supports world-class scientific outcomes.
