About The Position

Community Interface Services is hiring a Full-Time Resource Counselor to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving greater independence. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people thrive in employment, housing, community inclusion, and daily living. This position earns a starting range of $23-25 per hour, with a flexible schedule Monday through Friday. Requirements

Experience in accessing resources and benefits
Knowledge of housing resources or willingness to learn
Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work with diverse populations
A High School Diploma or GED
A valid California driver's license, reliable vehicle, insurance, and 2+ years of driving experience

Responsibilities

Work with participants in our Independent Living program and provide individualized, person-centered support to each person.
Assist with maintaining housing.
Access resources for children at school and in the community.
Navigate housing assistance programs.
Provide hands-on, one-on-one focused support to improve the quality of life for those we serve.
Travel within the Escondido to Vista area to support individuals within their own home or their community.
