About The Position

This role’s purpose is to provide information about the organization’s programs and services and guide and navigate customers with relevant processes and procedures. This role is the first point of contact with the community and is vital for building and sustaining relationships with the community that we serve. The Coordinator role will provide animal welfare education as well as promote available resources and services to the community.

Requirements

High School diploma or G.E.D required.
At least one years’ work experience working in Customer Service, Sales Industry, Animal clinic or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and substance screening.
Should not be allergic to animals or nut products; must be able to work around all animals.
General understanding of companion animal welfare principles.
General understanding of systemic economic and social issues that affect underserved populations and commitment to serve the community.
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft computer skills.
Must be available to work Monday through Saturday.
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds; push and pull heavy objects; bend, twist, reach; perform physical activities including frequent walking, standing, sitting. bending and stooping.
Must be able to work with industrial strength cleaners and disinfectants.

Nice To Haves

Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

Connecting with the community, regularly represent the organization and build and cultivate strong relationships with customers.
Driving efficiency, ensuring that customers get accurate information, and their needs met, in a timely manner.
Changing gears and priorities quickly in a fast-paced, multi-functioning environment.
Remaining calm in emotional and high stress situations, demonstrating outstanding oral communication, empathy and presenting complex information in a concise and understandable manner.
Problem-solving and providing solutions when responding to customer calls, emails, and texts.
Accurately inputting and managing data in several database systems.
Coordinating and connecting with co-workers, management, and volunteers daily, and ensuring consistent and timely communication of notifications and customer related information.
Assisting with projects associated within a specified program or service.
Performing other related duties as required.
