About The Position

The Resource Business Development Liaison (RBDL) serves in a dual-function business development role, filling interim needs as either a Director of Business Development or Clinical Liaison in hospital markets with staffing vacancies. This 100%25 travel position supports facility-level marketing and admissions operations, ensuring continuity in referral development, patient assessments, and census growth. The RBDL works collaboratively with hospital and corporate leadership to execute marketing strategies, enhance referral relationships, and ensure consistent adherence to compliance and performance standards.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in a related field
  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Upon Hire
  • 2+ years experience in healthcare or post-acute marketing and sales
  • Prior Experience that demonstrates working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payor systems

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the state of practice
  • LPN or LVN - Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse - State Licensure
  • RESP THER - Respiratory Therapist, Grad
  • Prior Experience in long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) or similar setting
  • Prior Experience managing a sales team

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of hospital-level sales and marketing initiatives
  • Train Clinical Liaisons and other marketing staff in effective referral development practices
  • Evaluate marketing team performance and recommend corrective actions as needed
  • Ensure compliance with corporate standards and policies, including regulatory and contractual obligations
  • Support census growth through the development of marketing plans, metrics tracking, and referral development strategies
  • Conduct market assessments to evaluate opportunities and support branding strategies
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership, regional marketing, and senior executives on special projects
  • Measure effectiveness of sales and marketing activities against established goals
  • Perform patient assessments to determine clinical eligibility and coordinate referral-to-admission process
  • Act as a liaison between referral sources, patients, families, and the hospital to facilitate care transitions
  • Provide education on LTACH services and build awareness among physicians, case managers, and other referral sources
  • Conduct in-person visits and maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts
  • Expand referral base through prospecting, presentations, and strategic relationship management
  • Achieve and exceed monthly admissions and referral development targets
  • Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to company standards for clinical and administrative procedures
