As a Resort Experience Supervisor, you will be responsible for communicating and working with Westgate vendors such as Resort Recreation and Tourism Management (RR & TM), Excursions, Scuba, Tennis, Caricature Artists, etc. In order to facilitate products and services for the Activities department. You will coordinate activity and special event programs using themed concepts, assist in set-up and breakdown for special events, and manage subordinate team members in the Activities/Kids Club department. This role also involves assisting with training, interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems. You will organize and update department files, plan parties for owners, guests, and team members, and formulate an environment that will increase team members’ morale and motivation, and promote team spirit. You will take charge of the department in the absence of the manager, order, inventory, and distribute logo merchandise and sports equipment, and prepare daily and monthly records and procedures for logo merchandise, marketing materials and other purchases in accordance with CFI and Westgate Resorts accounting. Additionally, you will collect daily written reports about the Fitness Center and Game Room, organize vendor reports and collect monthly payments, and write up subordinate team member performance evaluations, with the ability to enforce disciplinary procedures. You will attend manager meetings and participate in team member orientation tours, and have the power and responsibility to cancel various activities when weather or other conditions pose a safety hazard to participants. You will cooperate with recreation and non-recreation personnel, act as team leader for Resort Experience Department regarding resort service standards, and serve as the contact person for entertainment regarding special events. You will stock special event supplies on a weekly basis, perform weekly inspections of recreational sites, and handle the replacement of nets and repairing and repainting equipment as needed. You will also be the contact person for contractors regarding repairs and replacement of recreational courts, playground, dock, fitness center, etc., and have the ability to design, create and upkeep decorations.
