Connections Credit Union is looking for a full-time Resolutions Specialist for our Oak branch in Pocatello. Requirements

  • One year or more of collections, related legal experience and bankruptcies.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to demonstrate confidentiality in regards to member accounts and sensitive information
  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Must be bondable
  • Understand laws and regulations related to collections and bankruptcy.
  • Possess good listening and people skills.
  • Ability to objectively evaluate a member's situation in relation to the overall needs of the credit union.
  • Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
  • Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation.
  • Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator.
  • Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary.
  • Must be capable of travel by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities.
  • Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Contacts delinquent accounts by phone and mail; takes appropriate action to resolve the delinquency.
  • Prepare and file necessary legal documents. Work with retained counsel as needed.
  • Analyzes financial situation of delinquent borrowers. Repossess collateral when other arrangements to bring the loan current are unsuccessful.
  • Maintains accurate files and reports on all collections activity and maintains accurate reporting on credit bureaus.
  • Informs Manager of trends in underwriting contributing to delinquent/charged-off loans and aiding in other assigned tasks.
  • Perform other work related duties as assigned.
