About The Position

The Resin Pumper unloads raw materials from railcars into silos using outside pump stations and transfers materials from silos into boxes using inside pump stations to maintain supply for the manufacturing facility. The role also handles housekeeping on outside tracks, pumping stations, pump rooms, and silos. When the pumping schedule is light, the employee works indoors to help the Inventory Control Supervisor organize box materials and clean racks in preparation for the annual SQF audit. The employee is responsible for reporting situations that may compromise product quality, food safety, or regulatory compliance. The position is non-exempt and designated for night shift only.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including frequently walking, sitting, reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
• Ability to work outdoors in summer and winter conditions, including exposure to sun, rain, and snow.
• Ability to drag pumping hoses weighing 100 pounds or less between railcars; assistance is available if needed.

• Forklift experience; on-the-job training is available.

Responsibilities

• Maintain material supply to the manufacturing facility.
• Perform housekeeping on outside tracks, pumping stations, pump rooms, and silos.
• When the pumping schedule is light, assist the Inventory Control Supervisor with organizing box materials and cleaning racks for the annual SQF audit.
• Report situations that may compromise product quality, food safety, or regulatory compliance.
• Help maintain pumps as needed to prevent the manufacturing facility from running out of material; coordinate with Inventory Control to determine whether pumping is needed during the pumper’s absence.
