About The Position

Aptar is seeking a Resin Material Handler based in Mukwonago, WI. This position is fully on-site. The role is responsible for maintaining the flow of plastic to all molding machines in the department, assembling and monitoring auxiliary equipment, and disassembling and cleaning hoppers and blenders. The Material Handler will move raw materials, supply the department with necessary materials, and remove finished goods and refuse. Accurate paperwork, including maintenance work orders, must be maintained. Calibration of the on-press blender and ensuring correct ratios are crucial. Housekeeping duties are required at color changes, shift changes, and throughout the room. Preventive maintenance on grinders and blade resetting are also part of the role, along with ensuring personal and others' safety. The position involves moving finished goods, staged bodies, actuators, empty boxes, and scrap skids. Printing placards and labels, ordering parts and lining materials, and communicating with operators and next shifts are also key responsibilities. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Highschool Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, count and write
  • Physical ability to perform activity list
  • Forklift truck training

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining flow of plastic to all molding machines in the department.
  • Assemble and monitor operation of auxiliary equipment per prescribed procedure.
  • Disassemble and clean hoppers, blender and maintain their operations as production requires.
  • Analyze and resolve minor problems in central loading system.
  • Move raw materials from material supply station to molding room by using hand or lift truck and supply department with materials, skids, boxes and bags.
  • Remove skids from molding room along with refuse and return to staging area.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork flow from materials to quality control.
  • Prepare notifications (maintenance of work orders) for service to equipment as required.
  • Calibrate the on-press blender and ensure ratios are corrected via a control box with tough pad.
  • Responsible for housekeeping at color change, shift changeover, and overall room for housekeeping.
  • Preventive Maintenance on grinders and resetting of blades.
  • Ensure personal safety along with the safety of others around them.
  • Pull full skids of finished goods to final audit or staging.
  • Move staged bodies and actuators to machines per supervisors’ instructions.
  • Move empty boxes to the molding rooms and Move scrap skids to warehouse.
  • Print out placards and labels as needed.
  • Order parts and lining materials for color changes and liner changes.
  • Work directly with the operators on what parts need to be ordered throughout the shift.
  • Help Operators/Technicians when time permits.
  • Communicate all aspects of job activity to the next shifts material handler/lead operator, and/or supervisor/lead person.
  • All other duties as assigned.
