About The Position

Surefox North America Inc is a veteran-owned company seeking individuals with military, law enforcement, or security experience to join their team as a Resilience Officer. Under the guidance of Shift Supervisors and Area Managers, Resilience Officers (ROs) act as ambassadors for Surefox and its clients, ensuring the overall safety and security of client employees and property. Responsibilities include access control, employee and guest engagement and verification, customer service support, active patrolling and monitoring of facilities, and responding to medical and non-medical emergencies. ROs are expected to keep detailed notes of incidents and compile them into incident reports with coworkers. The role requires exceptional observational skills, attention to detail, high dependability, and the ability to handle physical demands of static or foot patrol. Top-tier customer service and great communication skills are essential for interacting professionally and respectfully with diverse individuals on client campuses. Requirements

  • Must be eligible for employment within the United States.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old per state licensing guidelines.
  • Must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug screening (Surefox will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with all requirements of State and local laws, regulations or codes).
  • Must live within driving distance or be willing to relocate.
  • Must have or be in the process of obtaining a current BSIS guard card.
  • Must have or be in the process of attaining a CPR/AED & First-Aid certification from a recognized certification authority.
  • Must possess a current and valid California driver's license (Class C).
  • Must have a high school degree or equivalent.
  • Must be customer service oriented and have the ability to communicate in a professional and respectful manner with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
  • Must have good judgment skills with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Must be able and willing to understand and follow written and verbal instructions as given by supervisory and managerial personnel.
  • Must have the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Must be able to safely and effectively deploy and use any assigned equipment for the assigned role/position.
  • Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time and/or able to stand and conduct foot patrols for the duration of your shift.
  • All applicants must be able to pass the Resilience Officer Physical Agility Test (ROPAT), with or without reasonable accommodation. After initial completion, the ROPAT will be conducted annually thereafter.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a security officer or in a security-related position.
  • Military background is a plus.
  • Security or law enforcement-related experience.
  • Experience writing statements and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct security patrols of the assigned area in a designated company vehicle or on foot, monitoring for and deterring suspicious or unauthorized activity.
  • Assist with access control operations, including verifying the proper ID and credentials of individuals attempting to access the client's facilities.
  • Monitor entrances and exits to a given facility or site to ensure continued security and protection of the client's employees and property.
  • Provide assistance to clients’ employees as needed and create a safe and friendly environment for visitors and clients in a professional manner.
  • Work independently and adapt to various work-paces while always maintaining a high level of attentiveness and energy.
  • Respond to and assist immediately and safely with any emergencies on-site.
  • Assist with preparing reports and statements as it pertains to accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities that may occur during your assigned shift.
  • May work alongside the client’s employees to receive and scan mail and packages on the client’s behalf.
