This Talent Acquisition Consultant role is a key partner to our APS division, supporting the teams that keep our operations running across diverse markets. In this role, you’ll have the autonomy to be curious, experiment with new approaches, and design creative sourcing strategies that meet the unique needs of each location. You’ll build meaningful relationships with community partners and site leaders while driving the talent pipelines that directly impact APS’s ability to deliver for our customers. Requirements

  • A proven ability to recruit in high‑volume, hard‑to‑staff rural markets, using creativity and persistence to generate consistent candidate flow.
  • Strength in building trusted relationships with local community partners, workforce boards, schools, and site leaders to expand sourcing reach and deepen market presence.
  • A consultative, partnership‑focused approach that allows you to influence leaders, understand workforce needs, and drive hiring outcomes across multiple locations.
  • Comfort operating with autonomy in rural environments, proactively identifying sourcing opportunities and adapting strategies to local labor market realities.
  • Strong communication skills that support ongoing engagement with candidates, hiring managers, and community stakeholders.
  • A mindset centered on ownership, follow‑through, and delivering results in fast‑moving, high‑volume recruiting environments.
  • Typically a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Typically 3+ years of recruiting experience, with a strong track record supporting high‑volume hiring.
  • 35% travel required to support sites as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full‑cycle, high‑volume recruiting for rural and hard‑to‑staff locations, ensuring consistent candidate flow despite limited local talent pools.
  • Develop deep relationships with rural community partners (workforce boards, technical schools, chambers of commerce, local events) to expand sourcing channels and increase brand visibility.
  • Build strong partnerships with site leaders to understand workforce needs, hiring urgency, and local market dynamics.
  • Create and execute localized sourcing strategies tailored to rural labor markets, including proactive outreach, grassroots recruiting, and community engagement.
  • Establish a strong presence in assigned regions through regular site visits, virtual touchpoints, and ongoing communication with hiring managers.
  • Leverage labor market data to identify trends, talent shortages, and opportunities for targeted recruiting efforts.
  • Drive candidate engagement through personalized communication, timely follow‑up, and a strong understanding of the rural candidate experience.
  • Represent the company at local hiring events and coordinate on‑site or community‑based recruiting activities.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for recurring high‑volume roles to reduce time‑to‑fill and improve hiring predictability.
  • Partner with HR and operations leaders to ensure alignment on staffing priorities and workforce planning needs.
