Residential Support Staff - SILP
About The Position
Northwestern Counseling & Support Services, Inc. is currently hiring for our Supported Independent Living Program (SILP), a residential program supporting individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. We’re seeking a dedicated team member to work Wednesday through Saturday, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Weekend availability is essential. This role involves fostering a therapeutic, supportive, and stable environment, providing person-centered interventions, supporting daily living skills, administering medications, and transporting clients.
Requirements
- Experience in residential programs or working with individuals with mental health challenges
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle to transport clients

Responsibilities
- Fostering a therapeutic, supportive, and stable environment in both residential and community settings
- Providing person-centered, strength-based interventions tailored to individual needs
- Supporting daily living skills, including preparing and cooking meals
- Administering medications as directed
- Transporting clients to appointments and community activities
