Behavioral Health Services North (BHSN) is seeking Support Staff professionals to join their growing Adult Residential and Crisis programs. These roles serve adults, children, and families and are ideal for individuals looking to make a meaningful impact and gain experience in behavioral health, human services, psychology, social work, or crisis support. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid NYS Driver’s License required
- Ability to work evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

- Human services, behavioral health, psychology, social work, or related experience preferred
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health or substance use challenges is a plus

Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals experiencing mental health, behavioral health, or life stability challenges.
- Help create a safe, supportive, recovery-focused environment.
- Support residents and participants with daily living skills.
- Provide emotional support, de-escalation, and encouragement.
- Assist individuals in developing coping and wellness strategies.
- Maintain a safe, structured, and welcoming environment.
- Support transportation, appointments, activities, and community integration.
- Observe self-medication administration per program protocols.
- Document services and participant interactions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary behavioral health teams.
- Assist during crisis stabilization and recovery support services.
