About The Position

The Residential Supervisor (2nd Shift) will lead a dynamic clinical team and bring an energetic and positive approach while working with clients at the Rising Futures Young Parent Living Program (YPLP). The YPLP is a DCF and DTA funded residential program for teen parents who are pregnant and/or parenting, offering apartment-style living in a staff-supported environment. Services include independent living and parenting skill groups, education and job search support, day care and medical referrals, housing search, and aftercare support.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or above.
• Prior supervisory experience in a residential program or mental health facility required.
• Residential program or mental health facility experience required.
• Active Driver’s License.
• Available to work evenings, holidays, weekend shifts as required.
• Pass background and driving record checks.

• Bachelors degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure program safety and compliance with safety and security procedures while on site, and through rotating on-call coverage.
• Support the professional development of residential counselors through training and supervision.
• Support all efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
• Support staff and programming through knowledge of the policies and procedures of the YPLP's residential department.
• Provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for students.
