About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Residential Construction Superintendent to oversee the construction of high-quality homes from start to finish in the Greater Lake Charles, LA area. The role is responsible for managing subcontractors and ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with specifications while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. The superintendent manages construction, budgets, vendors, schedules, inspections, quality assurance, customer relationships, and compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements. The position also maintains safe, clean, and organized job sites and coordinates with architects, homeowners, leadership, realtors, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
3–5 years of experience in residential or new home construction.
Ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, and subcontractors simultaneously.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
Proficiency with construction scheduling and project management software.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in custom or semi-custom homebuilding.
Bilingual ability.

Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate subcontractors to ensure timely, high-quality work that meets company and customer standards.
Monitor construction budgets, review and update costs, approve vendor invoices, and ensure trade partner accountability.
Consult with architects, owners, and leadership about design changes and issue resolution.
Deliver homes on or ahead of schedule using the company’s scheduling software.
Conduct and document job-site inspections at all phases of construction.
Complete customer walk-throughs within one week of completion and secure final approval.
Follow inspection, quality-control, and standard operating procedure checklists.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site that reflects company professionalism.
Build and maintain strong relationships with homeowners throughout construction.
Provide regular project progress updates and set clear expectations.
Anticipate, prevent, and professionally resolve customer issues.
Collaborate with realtors, owners, and other stakeholders to support a seamless homebuilding experience.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
Enforce company policies and standards for on-site operations, safety, and workmanship.
