About The Position

The Residential Specialist works in a Transitional Housing Program for homeless individuals. The program aims to provide an environment and services that help residents attain and maintain safe, affordable permanent housing of their choice. The specialist provides high-quality supportive services to ensure a safe, healthy, and welcoming living environment for residents. This is a per diem role with weekend shifts that may include days, evenings, and overnights. Pay is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to incorporate that understanding into service provision.
• Ability to work independently and with flexibility in days and hours of work.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's or associate degree and/or related experience preferred.
• Experience in the human services field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation of house functions while on duty, including meals, activities, and chores.
• Participate in the development and implementation of service plans for each resident.
• Provide supportive counseling and encourage residents to make healthy choices.
• Ensure household responsibilities and housekeeping functions are performed as required.
