Residential Specialist I (Saturday and Sunday 12:00 am - 8:00 am)
About The Position
Mental Health Connecticut (MHC), a statewide nonprofit provider agency, partners with individuals, their families, and surrounding communities to create environments that support long-term health and wellness. MHC is hiring a part-time Residential Specialist I in the Stamford area. The role delivers and documents services for people in recovery, including Medicaid-reimbursable services when applicable, in accordance with their Individual Recovery Plans. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., covering Friday night into Saturday morning and Saturday night into Sunday morning. The pay rate is $20.60 per hour.
Requirements
- GED or high school diploma required.
- Stay current with all required trainings and certifications.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in community mental health preferred.
Responsibilities
- Engage with people in recovery to support their participation in programs and activities.
- Document activities, communications, and encounters with individuals in recovery according to service contract and MHC requirements.
- Supervise the residence and promote the safety of its residents, including awareness of necessary treatment issues.
- Orient individuals to the programs available to them.
- Maintain activity and progress reports.
- Teach and assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
- Implement Individual Recovery Plans (IRPs).
- Provide emergent program-site coverage when necessary; may be required to remain on site or report beyond scheduled hours to provide essential coverage.
- Attend required trainings and meetings.
