Residential Services Aide - Selinsgrove Center (1st and 2nd Shift)
About The Position
This position supports treatment and training services by assisting residential staff and participating in individualized plans for the people served at Selinsgrove Center. As a Residential Services Aide, you will perform the following duties: Plan Development: Assist with completing portions of assessments and training plans to support individualized programs Active Treatment: Conduct assigned training procedures to help individuals build daily living skills Progress Monitoring: Record and report information to help review and update individual plans Team Participation: Share observations and communicate skill needs with other members of the interdisciplinary team Record Keeping: Document information in unit records to support communication across staff Environment Support: Help maintain therapeutic spaces through selection, placement, and monitoring of personal items.
Requirements
- Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Meet the PA residency requirement.
- Be able to perform essential job functions.
- Satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
- Medical examination and drug screening.
