About The Position

Oversee all servicing functions within the Residential Servicing Department, while also providing administrative support to the Home Lending, Accounting Department, and other departments as needed, in the processing and management of all aspects of residential loan servicing, including Home Equity Loans, Lines of Credit, and the credit union’s mortgage portfolio.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • Specialized training in lending.
  • 1-2 years’ experience working with financial matters.
  • or a combination of education and experience
  • 5-10 years working in commercial lending, preferably in a Credit Union setting.
  • NMLS registration
  • Notary Public License
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficient knowledge of loan application and approval standards
  • Ability to prioritize, pay close attention to detail, and coordinate various activities simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers, management, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Servicing all residential real estate loans, including first mortgages and home equity products.
  • Efficiently utilize systems such as BytePro, FICS, Desktop Underwriter, and other relevant software to support servicing operations.
  • Manage escrow accounts, including handling deposits and disbursements. Compile and analyze escrow data to prepare annual escrow analyses and ensure timely payment of property taxes to the appropriate municipalities.
  • Handle the servicing and sale of mortgage loans to external agencies, including Fannie Mae and FHLB.
  • Conduct quality control reviews on all originated real estate loans to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Handle reversals of all Residential loan payments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Issue and process Residential loan payoffs.
  • Ensure issuance of all Real Estate loan satisfactions.
  • Prepare, mail, and track adverse action notices and other required Member notifications for Residential Loans.
  • Collaborate with the other departments on mortgage and home equity-related tasks, and prepare correspondence for Members and external agencies as needed.
  • Provide support to Members by addressing inquiries related to existing real estate loans.
  • Actively cross-sell credit union products and services, including deposit accounts and loan products, to meet Members’ financial needs and enhance their overall financial well-being.
  • Work at various branch locations as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
