About The Position

Teague Electric, a trusted name in the Kansas City area for over 40 years, is seeking an organized, customer-focused Residential Service Estimator/Project Manager to join their growing Residential Service Division. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy direct customer interaction, problem-solving, project management, and collaborating with electricians to achieve excellent results. The position serves as a liaison between customers and field teams, ensuring smooth, professional project completion and fostering customer loyalty. The Residential Service Estimator/Project Manager is responsible for cultivating customer relationships, preparing estimates, coordinating projects, and delivering an exceptional customer experience from initiation to completion. This involves close collaboration with homeowners, contractors, electricians, and office staff to ensure projects progress efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and profitability.

Requirements

  • Experience in residential electrical service, estimating, project management, or a related construction field
  • Strong understanding of residential electrical systems and code requirements
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Comfortable using computers, scheduling software, and project management tools
  • A positive, solutions-oriented mindset and a genuine desire to help customers

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license
  • Residential estimating experience
  • Previous project management or service coordination experience
  • Knowledge of the Kansas City residential market

Responsibilities

  • Meet with homeowners and customers to understand their needs and develop solutions
  • Prepare accurate estimates and proposals for residential electrical projects
  • Build trust through responsive communication and exceptional service
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers while helping generate new opportunities
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource throughout the project process
  • Manage projects from estimate through completion
  • Coordinate schedules, materials, permits, and project logistics
  • Work closely with field electricians to ensure projects stay on track
  • Monitor budgets, change orders, timelines, and customer expectations
  • Communicate project updates clearly with customers and internal teams
  • Partner with electricians, supervisors, and office staff to deliver successful projects
  • Help ensure crews have the information and resources needed to perform their work efficiently
  • Foster positive working relationships across departments
  • Support a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and customer service
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records
  • Track project costs, profitability, and customer satisfaction
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and create a better customer experience
  • Help ensure projects meet company standards for quality, safety, and performance
