About The Position

Prostar Services is hiring a Residential Service Electrician for its growing HVAC, plumbing, and electrical team in Wilson, North Carolina. The electrician will perform residential service work in Wilson and surrounding eastern North Carolina counties, diagnose and repair electrical issues, complete installations and upgrades, and communicate findings and options to homeowners. The role emphasizes following established processes, working safely and to code, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and keeping the service truck stocked and ready. This is a high-performance environment with an emphasis on professionalism, standards, and accountability.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of residential electrical experience; service experience is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and working knowledge of the NEC.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Professional appearance, clear communication, and accountability.

Nice To Haves

• North Carolina electrical license or journeyman-level experience.
• Strong helpers who are ready to advance are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Run residential electrical service calls across Wilson and surrounding eastern North Carolina counties.
• Troubleshoot and repair circuits, breakers, outlets, switches, lighting, and ceiling fans.
• Perform panel upgrades and replacements, service changes, subpanel work, and dedicated circuit installations.
• Wire whole-home generators, surge protection, EV chargers, and HVAC equipment.
• Clearly communicate findings to homeowners and present repair and upgrade options.
• Complete jobs cleanly, safely, in an organized manner, and to code.
• Follow established processes on every call and keep the service truck stocked and ready.
