About The Position

steveworks is a worker-owned, design-build, residential remodeling company seeking a Project Manager. The Project Manager serves as the primary liaison between the client, design team, and field crew (including subcontractors) for each project. This role is responsible for overseeing all project phases from inception to completion, ensuring optimal efficiency, high quality, and complete customer satisfaction. While not performing hands-on labor, the Project Manager must possess the technical expertise and management capabilities to actively supervise all job site activities and personnel. steveworks operates as a Triple Bottom Line company, prioritizing People, Planet, and Prosperity, with a focus on craftsmanship, durability, value, and sustainability in its remodeling projects. Requirements

  • 5-10 years of relevant residential remodeling and construction management experience
  • Effective communication skills with clients, crew, subcontractors and management
  • Experience managing multiple (2-4) concurrent jobs at different stages of production
  • Experience running a crew, scheduling subs, and standing inspections
  • Proficient with written communication, spreadsheets, construction management software and other technologies required for communication and tracking projects.
  • Effective problem solving and ability to plan ahead
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Understanding of principles of sustainability and building science such as advanced framing, air sealing, water management, and weatherization techniques
  • Track record of running a safe, clean, efficient job site
  • Ability to lead a job site team that is cohesive, mutually respectful, and works well together
