About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and driven Residential Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of residential properties. This role is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, tenant satisfaction, and financial performance across assigned assets.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience in property management)
3–5+ years of residential property management experience, preferably in NYC
Strong knowledge of NYC housing regulations (HPD, DOB, rent stabilization/market-rate practices)
Experience with property management systems (MRI preferred)
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple properties and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

Experience managing mixed portfolios (walk-ups, multifamily)
Familiarity with legal processes related to housing court and tenant disputes

Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of assigned residential properties, including legal, tenant relations, and vendor coordination
Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing concerns and ensuring timely resolution of issues
Coordinate with superintendents, porters, and third-party vendors to maintain building conditions and complete repairs
Ensure compliance with NYC regulations, including HPD, DOB, and other agency requirements
Monitor rent collections and arrears; coordinate with legal counsel on nonpayment or holdover proceedings
Conduct regular property inspections and implement corrective action as needed
Manage and track work orders and maintenance requests to ensure timely completion
Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting in coordination with internal teams
Support capital improvement projects and ensure proper execution and documentation
Maintain accurate property records, tenant files, and reporting within MRI or related systems
