About The Position

The Residential Program Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of an assigned residential program. Working closely with the Assistant Director and Director of Residential Services, the Program Manager will provide leadership and support to residential staff while ensuring that individuals receive high-quality, person-centered services in a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. The Program Manager will oversee daily program operations, staffing, individual services, healthcare coordination, documentation, and household responsibilities. This position will promote independence, choice, community inclusion, and skill development while ensuring that the developmental, physical, emotional, and social needs of each individual are supported within a Positive Behavior Support (PBS) model. The Program Manager will serve as a leader and role model for residential staff and will work collaboratively with individuals, families, staff, healthcare providers, and other members of the support team to promote consistency and quality of services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a social services, human services, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of two years of related experience in human services, residential services, or a similar setting preferred.
  • Previous experience supervising or leading staff.
  • Experience supporting adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively lead a team while maintaining positive working relationships with individuals, families, staff, and other members of the support team.
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to learn and utilize required systems and technology.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and complete required program records in a timely manner.
  • Valid Massachusetts driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to drive large passenger vehicles or willingness to complete required driver training.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications, including CPR, First Aid, infection control, and other required training. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day oversight and leadership of the assigned residential program.
  • Supervise, support, and provide ongoing guidance to residential staff to promote effective teamwork and high-quality services.
  • Ensure and safeguard the dignity, rights, privacy, and personal liberties of each individual supported.
  • Promote individual choice and support individuals in making informed decisions about their daily lives.
  • Encourage community inclusion and support individuals in developing and maintaining meaningful relationships and community connections.
  • Support individuals in developing skills that promote greater independence in daily living and community participation.
  • Ensure the safety, health, and overall well-being of individuals within the residence.
  • Coordinate and oversee healthcare needs, including medical appointments, follow-up care, and prescribed medications in accordance with established requirements and procedures.
  • Support appropriate nutrition, meal planning, food preparation, and household routines based on individual needs and preferences.
  • Prepare and maintain Individual Service Plan (ISP) assessments, progress notes, and other required program documentation.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and ongoing review of individual goals and support plans.
  • Complete financial assessments and develop individualized training plans to increase each person's involvement and independence in managing personal finances.
  • Maintain accurate program records and ensure required documentation is completed appropriately and within established timelines.
  • Work collaboratively with the Assistant Director and Director of Residential Services to address staffing, operational, and individual support needs.
  • Provide coverage and assume House/Case Manager responsibilities when necessary to support continuity of program operations.
  • Support the implementation of agency policies, program standards, and best practices within the residence.
  • Participate in ongoing program development and quality improvement efforts within Residential Services.
