Residential Maintenance Tech
About The Position
Red Oak Management Co. Inc. is seeking a part-time Residential Maintenance Tech to support two small residential communities in Elsie, Michigan. The role oversees maintenance operations across both buildings and offers a flexible schedule with responsibility for maintaining consistent service at both properties. The technician reviews and prioritizes resident work orders, completes repairs and maintenance projects, prepares recently vacated apartments for new residents, and helps keep both buildings operating smoothly. Duties may include painting, drywall repair, plumbing work, groundskeeping and curb-appeal upkeep, light HVAC repairs, basic electrical work, and preventative maintenance. The position contributes to clean, attractive, comfortable homes and a welcoming environment for residents. Red Oak Management is an affordable housing company founded in 1984 in Cedar Springs, Michigan, and a founding member of the Michigan Rural Housing Council. Requirements
- Prior experience with painting.
- Prior experience with groundskeeping.
- Experience with light HVAC repairs.
- Experience with basic plumbing.
- Experience with basic electrical work.
- Experience with drywall repair.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Trustworthy and able to work independently.
- Able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities
- Review resident work orders and prioritize tasks according to urgency.
- Complete resident-requested repairs and maintenance projects promptly and professionally.
