About The Position

A to Z Tree and Turf is looking for a hands-on Residential Landscape Maintenance Foreman to run a crew, take care of our residential clients, and take pride in every property we touch. If you know landscape maintenance inside and out from turf to trees to irrigation and you can lead a team while staying professional in front of clients, we want to talk to you.

Requirements

3+ years of landscape maintenance experience, including crew lead or foreman experience
Valid Arizona driver's license with a clean driving record (trucks and trailers)
Knowledge of all areas of landscape maintenance: tools, plant care, irrigation, and lighting
Ability to manage, train, and lead a crew of at least 3
Excellent attendance — reliable, on time, every day
Team player who performs duties to company standards, without incident, daily
Takes proper care of company equipment, vehicles, and assets
Maintains a clean uniform in good repair
Willingness to learn and master all skills
Able to work outdoors in Arizona weather and perform physical labor throughout the shift

Responsibilities

Manage and motivate a crew of 3+ team members on residential maintenance routes
Train new employees on proper techniques, safety, and company standards
Fill out and verify daily time and production worksheets
Follow direction from your Supervisor and Management, and keep the crew on schedule
Perform all areas of landscape maintenance: mowing, trimming, edging, hand pruning, natural pruning, raking gravel, weed removal, and debris cleanup
Perform fertilizer and mulch applications, planting, and seasonal work
Provide plant care across the board: turf, plants, trees, shrubs, cactus, and flowers
Operate all power equipment: mowers, weed eaters, edgers, pruning tools, and hand tools
Check sprinklers and perform small repairs, including valves
Program irrigation timers
Check and maintain landscape lighting and timers
Recognize and diagnose pests and disease on plants, turf, and trees
Take a proactive approach to turf issues
Represent the company as the face of A to Z Tree and Turf on every jobsite and the client's point of contact
Maintain a professional demeanor at all times
Safely operate company trucks and trailers between jobsites
