Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of residential HVAC experience preferred (service or installation).
  • EPA Universal Certification (or ability to obtain quickly).
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while remaining a team player.
  • Basic understanding of electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to use smartphones and tablets for work orders and documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • 2–5 years of residential HVAC service experience.
  • Experience with gas furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, zoning systems, and indoor air quality products.
  • NATE Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience with Lennox equipment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of airflow diagnostics and static pressure testing.
  • Sales and customer education experience.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential heating and cooling systems.
  • Perform seasonal preventative maintenance on furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, and IAQ equipment.
  • Accurately diagnose electrical, refrigeration, airflow, and mechanical issues.
  • Explain repair options and recommendations to homeowners in a professional, easy-to-understand manner.
  • Perform equipment startups and operational testing.
  • Verify refrigerant charge using proper superheat, subcooling, and airflow procedures.
  • Troubleshoot electrical controls, motors, capacitors, contactors, relays, pressure switches, gas valves, ignitors, and thermostats.
  • Repair refrigerant leaks and perform proper evacuation and charging procedures.
  • Maintain detailed service reports and documentation using company software.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked company vehicle.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and EPA regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing technical training and manufacturer education.
  • Work with installation teams when necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Build long-term relationships with homeowners through honest recommendations and exceptional service.
