Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Basic computer competencies
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- Dexterity: a steady hand & excellent hand-eye coordination
- Team player with ability to collaborate with others effectively
- Positive, friendly attitude and customer service mentality
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications are preferred but not required.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to accurately diagnose and repair vehicles.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Automotive Service Technician.
- Must have own tools.
Nice To Haves
- One year lube tech experience preferred, but not required.
- Previous experience at an automotive dealership a plus
- Strong understanding of the service drive a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform quality work: oil changes, tire rotations, replacing wipers, filters, etc.
- Data entry and communication with teammates
- Complete vehicle inspection
- Install a new oil drain plug and a new oil filter
- Providing excellent customer service keeping in mind that our customer’s perspective comes first
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on various vehicles.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify potential problems.
- Keep detailed records of all work performed and completed on vehicles.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Continuously learn and stay updated on new automotive technology and techniques.
- Diagnose and repair automobile mechanical and electrical issues, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Communicate with customers to explain repairs and provide recommendations for future maintenance.
