About The Position

The Housing Supervisor provides leadership and operational oversight for Ava Health’s residential program, including licensed ASAM 3.1 residences and Sober Living environments. This “player-manager” position combines direct service with team supervision—working scheduled shifts alongside residents while managing House Managers and ensuring the smooth, compliant, and compassionate operation of Ava’s housing continuum. The Housing Supervisor ensures that each residence functions as a safe, structured, and recovery-oriented environment consistent with Ava Health’s values of Agency, Service, and Purpose.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in residential, behavioral health, or supportive housing programs
  • At least one (1) year in a supervisory or lead role preferred.
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license and ability to transport clients as needed.
  • BLS/CPR certification required (or must be obtained within 60 days of hire).
  • If in recovery, a minimum of two (2) years of sobriety is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, schedule, and support the House Manager team to ensure consistent staffing, coverage, and quality of service across all residential sites.
  • Model effective engagement, boundary-setting, and supportive communication while working scheduled shifts in the houses.
  • Conduct regular supervision, team check-ins, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development for residential staff.
  • Oversee Environment of Care (EOC) compliance—ensuring that safety, sanitation, maintenance, and fire safety standards are met and documented.
  • Monitor completion of operational checklists and follow up on deficiencies or maintenance needs in collaboration with the Facilities Manager.
  • Support budget and inventory management for household supplies, food service, and transportation operations.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of residential program routines, including meal schedules, chores, curfews, and group activities.
  • Promote a positive, recovery-oriented community that supports personal accountability and mutual respect among residents.
  • Address behavioral or policy concerns promptly and appropriately, escalating when necessary.
  • Oversee transportation logistics and ensure seamless client flow between residential settings, treatment at Crossroads, and other appointments.
  • Serve as liaison with the Crossroads clinical team to maintain integrated communication and ensure alignment between housing and treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of daily activities, incidents, and compliance reports.
  • Commitment to continuous quality improvement and professional development.
  • Availability to respond to after-hours emergencies or coverage needs.
  • Willingness to support multiple residential properties as assigned.
