About The Position

Cedar Park Overhead Doors is hiring a full-time Residential Garage Door Technician at its Austin, Texas location. The company has served Texas for more than 30 years, offering residential and commercial overhead doors, access controls, and gate systems. In this role, the technician installs, maintains, and repairs residential products, including garage doors and entry doors, while providing customer-focused service.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
At least 3 years of experience in garage door service or installation, or a similar skilled trade.
General knowledge of construction, hand tools, and electrical work.
Valid driver's license.
Must have an acceptable motor vehicle record to be added to the company's auto insurance policy.
Dependable and reliable transportation to and from the base office location.
Willingness to learn.
Excellent attention to detail.
Customer service-oriented mindset.
Adaptability to a changing work environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Install products according to manufacturer specifications and ensure customer satisfaction with completed work.
Maintain inventory on the company truck and understand the proper use of parts, tools, and related equipment.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair basic mechanical and electrical failures.
Perform preventative maintenance on products.
Document services performed, amounts owed or paid, and outstanding items needed to complete jobs.
Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment at the warehouse and job sites.
