About The Position

Elite Overhead Garage Doors is seeking an experienced Garage Door Technician to install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial garage doors and openers. The technician serves as a professional, trusted point of contact for customers, delivering quality work and clear communication while working independently in the field and coordinating with the team.

The role requires documenting completed work with notes, diagrams, and photos; meeting applicable safety codes, manufacturer standards, and company expectations; and recommending appropriate products or services based on customer needs without high-pressure sales tactics. The posting lists potential commissioned compensation of $60,000–$80,000 USD; these amounts are not guaranteed and are not a salary offer.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of garage door installation and repair experience.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift more than 75 pounds, climb ladders, and use standard hand and power tools.
• Solid mechanical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Organized, dependable, and able to work efficiently independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screenings and a motor vehicle record check.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial garage doors and openers.
• Provide professional customer service and communicate clearly with customers.
• Document work performed with notes, diagrams, and photos for internal records and team coordination.
• Ensure work meets safety codes, manufacturer standards, and company expectations.
